Biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles from Arum dioscoridis plant leaf aqueous extract: anticancer and antimicrobial properties

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study was carried out to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) from Arum dioscoridis (AD) leaf extract and investigate the cytotoxic antipathogenic effects of them. The plant material had a reducing stabilizing effect on synthesized nanomaterial. During plant-mediated synthesis nanomaterials, no substances that would cause environmental pollution were used. For structural characterization AD-AgNPs, Ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) Spectroscopy, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), Dispersive X-ray (EDX) Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Transmission (TEM), Diffractometer (XRD), Atomic Force (AFM) Zetasizer analyses performed. produced AgNPs showed maximum surface plasmon resonance at 431.67 nm mostly spherical morphology. zeta potential value nanomaterial -9.76 mV average powder crystal size 31.48 nm. minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values (mg/L) AD-AgNPs Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans 0.25, 2.00, 0.125, 4.00, 1.00, respectively. After 24 48 hours application by MTT [3-(4,5-dimetiltiazol-2-il)-2,5-difeniltetrazolium bromid] assay, half-maximal concentrations (IC50: μg/mL) human colon adenocarcinoma cell (CACO-2), breast cancer (MCF-7), glioblastoma multiforme (T98-G), healthy umbilical vein endothelial (HUVEC) lines determined as 2.977, 2.801, 5.694, 4.392; 2.115, 2.300, 2.612, 4.091,
